-
What will my employees think of this arrangement?
Once we have had the opportunity to explain the relationship that exists between PEP and the client company, employees embrace it in a very positive manner.
-
Who is the employer in this arrangement?
PEP utilizes a "Co-Employer" approach to its service. The client company retains control over those aspects of employment necessary to achieving its business objectives. PEP is the employer for only those issues of employment that have no direct bearing on the core business of the client company but are necessary to ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining a strong, enthusiastic and dedicated work force.
-
How often does PEP process payroll?
We process payroll to match your existing payroll schedule. It is our objective to be as flexible as possible and customize our program to meet your and your employees' needs.
-
How are PEP's payroll capabilities superior to utilizing a payroll processing service?
PEP as a "Co-Employer" is responsible for: payroll, payment of payroll taxes, pre and post tax deductions as well as court ordered deductions. Again, PEP's shouldering of these responsibilities relieve the client companies of the liabilities surrounding payroll.
A payroll processing service may assist you in processing payroll; however, they cannot assume the liability associated with it.
-
Why would I want to engage PEP if I already have someone handling payroll and benefits?
For most companies today, the person handling payroll and benefits wears many hats. Issues such as turnover, quality control, and productivity are only acknowledged from the operational aspect. The avenues within which human resources could have an influence are ignored, usually due to lack of tools to identify and respond to problems. The knowledge and experience of PEP can have a significant impact in lowering turnover, improving quality of product and increasing productivity.
-
Will I have to stop and deal with health insurance and benefit questions?
PEP has an entire department staffed with professionals dedicated to dealing with benefit questions posed by employers and employees. We also handle all issues with the insurance carriers.
-
What happens if I have an employment issue?
Call PEP and we will immediately begin to focus on the problem so that you may return to work. You will have the comfort of knowing that the issues are being handled by professionals.
